Vietnam Financial Literacy Project | Social Impact Credits

WOCAN, commissioned by Australia’s Department of Foreign Aid and Trade (DFAT), applied the W+ Standard to measure the impact of financial literacy education on women’s empowerment through the LienVietPostBank project in Vietnam. The initiative benefits unbanked women by providing tools for payments, financial management, and literacy, while also supporting female merchants with income opportunities and improved security through financial and sales training. Targeting at least 500,000 women— including 5,000 collaborators and 2,500 grocery and mini-shop owners—the project generates measurable outcomes in the W+ Knowledge and Education domain, resulting in certified W+ units that advance women’s financial capacity and long-term empowerment.

W+ Domains applied: Education & Knowledge
